![]() This is a case of acute groin pain improved by 2 acupuncture treatments. The patient is 18-year-old male who injured his left groin yesterday while playing hockey. When he bends forward and twists his back to the left, he feels pain in his left low back, and when he raises his left knee, he feels pain in his left groin. [1st Treatment] I had him lie on his right side on the treatment table and checked his left low back, buttock and groin for pressure pain with my fingers and found tender points on his left low back and groin. I needled on his head and low back and released the tender points and let him relax for 10 minutes with the needles. After removing the needles, I had him stand up and checked his movement. When he raised his left knee, he still felt some pain in his left groin, so I gave a little bit of stimulation on an acupuncture point on his foot with my finger and asked him to raise his left knee again. This time he didn’t feel any pain, so we finished the first treatment. [2nd Treatment] His groin pain was better but when he raised his left knee, there was a little bit of pain in the area. At the beginning of the treatment, I added the treatment to relax whole body from his head, leading to the improvement of the flexibility of raising his legs on the treatment table. I did almost the same acupuncture treatment as the last session and added the treatment to improve the strength of his legs. I had him stand up and confirmed he didn’t have any pain in his left groin when he raised his left knee and fished the course of the treatment for his left groin pain.

There are a lot of people who hurt their shoulders or upper back while walking their dogs. The patient is a man in his 80s. After he took his dog for a walk yesterday, the inside of his right shoulder blade started to hurt. He couldn’t sleep well because of the pain in the area last night. 1st Treatment When he lay on his back, his right shoulder was floating higher than the left side and he complained about pain in the right side of his upper back. I gave him acupuncture to remove the pain from his neck to the inside of his right shoulder blade. 2nd Treatment (3days later) He reported that the pain inside the shoulder blade was less and he could sleep at night without pain. I gave him acupuncture to remove pain inside the shoulder blade and loosen the area. After the treatment, there was more flexibility when I pressed his shoulder from the front to the back on the treatment table. 3rd Treatment (4 days later) He reported that the pain inside the shoulder blade disappeared. His right shoulder which had been floating from the table higher than his left shoulder was at the same level as his left shoulder and there was flexibility when I pressed it toward the treatment table. I didn’t give him acupuncture for his upper back this day, though I treated his chronic hip joint pain that he had complained from the last treatment. The patient is a woman in her 50s, who is a caregiver.
3 days ago when she tried to change the posture of a heavy person on the bed, she hurt her left low back. She feels pain when she walks and bend her back backward. 1st Treatment When I checked her pulse, I thought this was a typical acute low back pain because her pulse was very tight. So I gave her the treatment for acute low back pain, removing tender spots on her low back and buttocks and attached a very short needle with sticker on her low back. She felt pain when she got up, so I added an adjustment of her rib cage. When I had her stand up and check her back, she felt much better, so I fished the first treatment. 2nd Treatment (2 days later) Yesterday, when she moved the heavy person again, she felt pain in her right low back. Today she feels pain in the center with bending backward and in each side with bending sideways. Since she had pain on both sides of her low back and also the center of the low back, I chose to treat both sides of her low back with normal low back pain treatment. After the treatment, her low back was not improved at all. I added some needles to remove tender spots found when she stood up, but her low back pain didn’t change. I thought she might have had another acute low back pain on her right side and asked her to lie on her side and gave the treatment for acute low back pain. When she stood up and checked her low back, her low back was not completely better, but was improved. I stopped treatment here to avoid too much amount of treatment. 3rd Treatment (2 days later) 2 days after the last treatment, her low back pain was much better. Only when she bend her back to the left, she felt pain on her left buttock. She was standing all day but didn’t do the work to move the heavy person. I treated her left low back and buttock and when she stood up, she still felt some pain with bending side way, so I found painful spots on her left buttock and removed them with a touch-up needle. I asked her to check her back again and this time she felt better. Since she felt much better on her low back, I finished the treatment for her acute low back pain. At the second treatment, I couldn’t recognize another acute low back pain was happening on the other side at the beginning because I had no idea that 2 acute low back pain happening within a few days. I learned that I should carefully check the patient’s condition without preconceptions. When she walked the dog, the dog suddenly pulled the leash held with her right hand and she fell down and hurt her right shoulder. She felt pain when she lifted up her right arm to 60 degrees in front, but there was no limited range of motion. First, I scanned and regulated the center line of her body, asking her to sit facing me, and then asked her to check her right shoulder. There was not much change about the pain. Next, I scanned and regulated both sides of her body from chest to lower abdomen to balance her internal organs, and then asked her to check her shoulder. Still there was not much change. Next, I focused on her right chest, shoulder and neck area and asked her to check. It seemed a little better. Next, I focused on her back where is the area between shoulder blades from the front and asked her to check again. She moved her shoulder over and over again and told me that her right shoulder got much better with a wondering face. Tele-Acupuncture is a kind of Telemedicine not to offer consultations but to offer treatment at a distance using visual information and the theory of acupuncture medicine. This is a case treated with Tele-Acupuncture showing what is expected with this treatment method. The patient was a man in 80s who had had acute high blood pressure due to heart problems. His blood pressure lowered and became stable and there were no symptoms related to his chest. This time his complaints were limited range of motion in his left shoulder and pain in his left ankle. When he tried to bring his left arm behind his back, his shoulder hurt and couldn’t bring his arm behind his back at all. First, I scanned and regulated the energy starting from the center line and then both sides of his torso, having him sit facing to me. I asked him to check his shoulder. The range of motion of his shoulder got a little better. I scanned and treated around his neck and shoulder and then between the shoulder blades concentrating my focus deep in his body. I asked him to check his shoulder again. The range of motion got much improved and he could bring his left arm behind his back as far as his right arm. Next, I asked him where he felt pain in his ankle. He said it didn’t hurt with movements at that time, but hurt outside of his left ankle when he pressed with his finger. I asked him to show me his left leg and ankle, putting his left foot on the chair. I scanned from his left knee to his foot and removed the energy from where the energy was stagnated and supplied energy to where was needed. I asked him to press around his left ankle where he felt pain before. Since he couldn’t find painful points, I finished the session at this point. The following is a case of Tele-Acupuncture treatment. A woman in her 40s was complaining about the pain in her right neck and shoulder area to her right chest when she moved her neck since 5 days ago. First, I asked her to move her neck. When she turned her neck to the right, looked down and tilted her head to both sides, she felt pain in her right shoulder to her right chest. I scanned and regulated the energy on the center line of her body with finger-needles through the screen, while she was sitting on a chair, facing to me. Then I asked her to check if she still felt pain by moving her neck. She said she still felt pain when she tilt her head to the right. So this time I scanned and regulated the energy on her right side from the neck to lower abdomen and then on her left side. I asked her to check again and she didn’t feel any pain around her right shoulder to her right chest when she tilted her head to the right. At this point, there were no pain, but I asked her to turn around and show her back to me. I scanned the center line and both sides of her back and regulated the energy, especially around her low back to buttocks because she told me she had had pain in her right hip to leg the day before this session, though there was no pain at the time of the session. 2 days later she had the second session. She still felt tightness on her right shoulder to upper back with turning and tilting her head to the right, though pain in her right chest disappeared. So I did the same treatment. When I finished the treatment on her front side, the tightness from her right shoulder to her upper back with the movement of her neck was already gone. I also scanned and regulated the energy on her back and finished the course of Tele-Acupuncture treatment for the pain in her right neck, shoulder and chest. A man in his 80s called me and said that his blood pressure elevated to 214 on his right arm and 180 on his left arm, and felt not good. He was anxious because he had heart problems as preexisting condition. I Skyped to him and scanned his body having him sit facing me. Most stagnations were located in his chest and above. Starting from the center line of his body from the head to the lower abdomen, I unblocked the stagnation from the front of his body. The left side of his chest had layers that some parts need energy and other parts need to unblock the energy as shown in the following Fig. I treated his left chest layer by layer. After the session, he told me that he felt much calmer and his chest became loosened. When he had the second session 3 days later, he reported me about the change of his blood pressure after the first session: Before the session: 214 Right after the session: 154 The day on the second session: 152 Click Learn More to get more information about Tele-Acupuncture. Tele-Acupuncture is a kind of Telemidicine that is scientific long distance treatment using visual information and the theory of Acupuncture medicine. So I want to share some cases treated with Tele-Acupuncture below. If you are still skeptical to Tele-Acupuncture, I think you can get some idea about Tele-Acupuncture. Case 1 A woman in her 30s was complaining about difficulty breathing, sore throat, low back pain, neck pain and very anxious due to the current situation. I scanned her body with her sitting on her bed facing to me. I detected energy stagnation mostly in her upper body and unblocked the stagnated energy with finger-needles. I asked her to check how she felt now. She told me that low back and neck and sore throat got better, but still had difficulty breathing. I scanned her body again and detected some stagnation in the center and lower part of her chest, so unblocked the stagnated energy. This time she told me she could breathe easily. Case 2 The same woman as Case 1 was feeling stiffness in her neck and shoulder, low back pain in the center, both legs were sore in any posture (3 days after the 1st session). She told me that breathing and sore throat got better and she could sleep better. I asked her to sit facing me and scanned her body. Energy Stagnation was mostly located in her upper body. After unblocking the stagnated energy, she still felt stiffness in her neck and shoulders and low back pain, so I asked her to sit showing her back. I scanned her back and detected stagnated energy in her left upper back and both sides of her low back. After unblocking the stagnated energy, I asked her to check her body again. This time shed didn’t feel stiffness in her neck and shoulders and low back pain. Because she still felt soreness in her legs, I asked her to stand up showing her legs. As I unblocked the energy flow of her legs, she told me her legs didn’t hurt. Case 3 A woman in her 70s was complaining that her left neck to arm had hurt and tingly for a week. I asked her to sit showing her head to lower abdomen and scanned her Chakras and regulated stagnated ones and asked her how she felt. She still felt pain and tingling sensation in her left neck to arm. This time I scanned her left side of her body and detected stagnated energy in her neck, elbow and wrist, and the space above her shoulder. After unblocking the stagnated energy in these area, she felt neither any pain nor tingling sensation in her left neck and arm. Case 4 A man in his 40s was complaining about pain in his left neck, tightness in his low back, pain in his mid-back and tightness and pain in his left thigh to knee. First, I scanned and regulated Chakras and internal organs from his front side and asked him to check his neck, but he still felt some pain in his left side. Next, I asked him to show his back in his sitting position and scanned his back. I unblocked stagnated energy in his neck, left shoulder blade, mid-back and low back. He told me that he still felt tightness in his mid-back, so I unblocked remaining stagnated energy in his mid-back and he felt better. Next, I asked him to stand up showing his lower body and unblocked the stagnated energy around his left thigh and knee. He didn’t feel any pain and tightness in his left knee, but he complained about the tightness in his left buttock area, so I unblocked stagnated energy in his left buttock to hip joint, and the tightness in his left buttock was gone. Because he still felt some pain in the left side of his neck, I unblocked the stagnated energy around his left neck from his left side and front side. This time pain in his left neck also disappeared. Though I treated him from various positions like the front, back and side in his sitting position, the front and back in his standing position, the session could finish within 20 minutes.
