This exercise is to loosen the area between the lumbar spine and the sacrum, where is the bottom of the spine. Adhesion of this area often causes low back pain, sciatica and other leg problems like knee pain, ankle pain. So when there are any leg problems, I often insert a needle in this area to release pain in the thigh, knee, ankle or even the bottom of the feet. This exercise takes about 30 seconds. Once a day is enough. You can see the result right after the exercise by checking the tightness before the exercise. If your lumbar spine has too much inward curve, this exercise is very effective. Please watch the following video for this exercise.

Tele-Acupuncture is a kind of Telemedicine not to offer consultations but to offer treatment at a distance using visual information and the theory of acupuncture medicine. This is a case treated with Tele-Acupuncture showing what is expected with this treatment method. The patient was a man in 80s who had had acute high blood pressure due to heart problems. His blood pressure lowered and became stable and there were no symptoms related to his chest. This time his complaints were limited range of motion in his left shoulder and pain in his left ankle. When he tried to bring his left arm behind his back, his shoulder hurt and couldn’t bring his arm behind his back at all. First, I scanned and regulated the energy starting from the center line and then both sides of his torso, having him sit facing to me. I asked him to check his shoulder. The range of motion of his shoulder got a little better. I scanned and treated around his neck and shoulder and then between the shoulder blades concentrating my focus deep in his body. I asked him to check his shoulder again. The range of motion got much improved and he could bring his left arm behind his back as far as his right arm. Next, I asked him where he felt pain in his ankle. He said it didn’t hurt with movements at that time, but hurt outside of his left ankle when he pressed with his finger. I asked him to show me his left leg and ankle, putting his left foot on the chair. I scanned from his left knee to his foot and removed the energy from where the energy was stagnated and supplied energy to where was needed. I asked him to press around his left ankle where he felt pain before. Since he couldn’t find painful points, I finished the session at this point. She hurt her right ankle a few days ago, but she didn’t know how it happened. The inside of her right ankle hurt when she walked or just stood.
Laying her down on her back, I checked her ankle. There was heat around ankle bone. When the ankle was twisted inward and outward, and was flexed downward and upward, she felt pain inside of her ankle. After general pediatric acupuncture treatment, I checked her right ankle for painful points with pressure. There were 5 painful points and I tried to relieve the pain, but a few points remained painful. Then when she stood up, her ankle still hurt even though it was a little better. When she came to my clinic 2 days after the last treatment, her ankle still hurt. She went to see a doctor and took X-rays, but there was nothing wrong. When I checked her ankle for painful points with pressure, there were no painful points around the ankle bone but 2 painful points on the ankle bone. After general pediatric acupuncture treatment, I gave a little strong vibration with a tool called Dispersion needle to the painful points on the ankle bone, and then asked her to stand up. She said her ankle didn’t hurt. She went home without an ankle support brace she had been wearing when she had come. When she came back 4 days later, she didn’t feel any pain in her ankle even if I pressed around her ankle and there was no heat around the ankle. This was a case that a tiny hairline crack on her ankle bone was suspected, which didn’t show up on X-rays, but Dispersion needle was as effective for this kind of cases as I had experienced before. Overview
The patient is a woman with the age of 70s. She complains that her left ankle has been painful since she woke up this morning. She feels painful at both inside and outside of her left ankle especially when she climbs up and down stairs. The pain goes up to the back of knee. I gave her acupuncture treatment explained in Individual Acupuncture Treatment and her ankle pain was healed by one acupuncture treatmement. Treatment When I checked her left ankle, there were a lot of painful points with pressure around her left ankle, especially around both sides of the ankle bones. I made diagnosis by checking her pulse, abdomen and neck, and touched an acupuncture point on left Kidney energy pathway with a round-tip needle, and tapped her neck and head with another round-tip needle. After that, I let her relax for 15 minutes on the treatment table. When I came back 15 minutes later, I checked her left ankle again. The painful points with pressure decreased to only two points. Other painful points on her abdomen and chest were all gone. I had her lie on her stomach and treated her back with round-tip needles, and had her lie on her back and checked her left ankle again. There were no painful points around her left ankle including the remaining two painful points after the relaxation. I asked her to check her ankle by standing and weighing her ankle, but there was no pain with the movements. The treatment for her left ankle ended. It was not so serious and happened when the running almost ended so there was no problem coming back. Right after the running, I treated the area where I sprained with Dispersion Needle. That was the outside of my ankle and hurt with inversion. After the needles, there was no pain in the area with inversion. I ran again two days later but there was no pain in my ankle while I was running. Dispersion needle is very convenient for acute joint problems. Outline The patient is a woman in her 60’s. She fell and sprained her left outside ankle 14 weeks ago. Since then, she has had difficult time to walk due to the pain. She tried various treatments, but the pain didn’t go away. After I explained her that I was not sure how much I could help her with the pain by only one treatment, I started acupuncture treatment. At first I touched her ankles. Her left was warmer and more swollen than her right ankle. I checked her left ankle to know what movement hurt the ankle. when I pushed her left foot downward to the floor bending the ankle and (plantar flexion), turned outward (eversion) and turned inward (inversion), she felt painful at left side on top of her left foot, where was between outside ankle and the 4th toe. After the treatment, I checked the ankle again but she didn’t’ feel pain by these movements. She emailed me a few days after the treatment and informed me that she could walk with no pain since the treatment. Treatment I tonified her left KD-7 with a round-tip needle (Teishin) to strengthen Kidney energy. After that, I tonified her back and lower legs with a round-tip needle and performed spreading needle on her head, neck and lower back with Teishin to remove stagnated energy (Ja removal Teishin). Then I tonifyed right SI-7 (Clock Meridian Treatment) and checked her ankle. At this point, she mostly didn’t feel pain in her ankle, but to remove blockage of the energy around outside ankle, I tapped some points in the area around GB-41 using Dispersion needle. I checked her ankle again. Since there was no pain by pushing downward and turning both outside and inside, I finished her treatment. Consideration I had the same kind of pain in my ankle last year myself and the pain lasted for 3 weeks regardless of various treatments by myself. At that time, I received a new tool, Dispersion needle, and tried it in the area of the pain. The pain dramatically disappeared after the treatment and since then didn’t come back (Refer to A Case of Foot Pain-Experience of Shaho-shin). In her case, the pain almost disappeared by needling on SI-7 using Clock Meridian Treatment (Shigo Treatment). So I think the blood stagnation in the area of the pain was not so severe, but there was inflammation in the Blood level and the heat was effectively removed with the Dispersion needle, resulting in the disappearance of the pain.
