I had had pain in my right hip joint in October the last year as described in a blog post. I got the same kind of pain in my right hip joint one and a half months ago. While I was running, I was feeling some discomfort in my right hip joint and since then, I have had pain and tightness in my right hip joint, inguinal area, thigh, sin and the top of my right foot when I walk and sometimes when I sit or lie on my sides.
The cause of the pain is, I think, a pair of new shoes because I was wearing the same shoes when I had had hip joint pain the last time, so I wore these shoes twice only when I got hip joint pain.
The condition was almost similar to the last time, but was not as severe as the last time. In the case of self-treatment, where I can treat is very limited, so at the beginning, I was using a round-tip needle at the acupuncture point located in the side of the body, which helped relieve the pain the last time. But unfortunately it didn’t improve the condition so much this time. Next, I tried some acupuncture points on my head, but they didn’t help so much either.
I was wondering how I could improve the condition this time. Then I chose Hand Healing and/or Energy therapy. The treatment was done mainly while I was walking because that was when to have pain in my right hip joint. I touched where I felt pain with my hand through a pocket of my pants and for where I was not able to reach while I was walking, I made an image that an imaginary hand reached and touched where was painful. Every time I did that, the pain was relieved a little. when the pain moved to another location, I repeated the same treatment until the pain didn't come out.
At home, I touched where I felt pain with my hand. I repeated this kind of treatment and my hip joint gradually got better, and I started running again. But I’m afraid of wearing the shoes again, though I only wore twice since I had bought them.
Touching therapy and making an imaginary hand seem mysterious, but actually the concept of the treatment is the same as touch-needle acupuncture, which focuses energy at an acupuncture point and sends the energy to where is painful points by the help of imagination.
The pulse is a kind of a monitor. When I touch an acupuncture point with a round-tip needle, the pulse changes. If what I did to the acupuncture point, the pulse becomes softer and slower, but if I did something wrong to the acupuncture point or my skill was not good enough, the pulse becomes harder and faster. That is why I check the pulse frequently after I touch an acupuncture point with a round-tip needle or insert a regular needle.
The pulse also changes by just touching with the finger. If I touch an acupuncture point too hard with my finger, the pulse becomes hard and/or fast, and if I touch an unsuitable acupuncture point for your body, the pulse also changes the same way.
The same thing happens to the abdomen and other parts of the body. If I touch a suitable acupuncture point with right strength, the abdomen becomes soft and smooth. So I check the abdomen and the muscle of the neck as well in order to confirm my pulse reading is correct, especially when the changes of the pulse is subtle.
That the pulse becomes harder and faster means your body gets stressed, while that the pulse becomes softer and slower means your body gets relaxed, which is the condition that acupuncture tries to lead to.
Waste products like body cells are accumulated in the body with age. Then the immune cell which is supposed to protect our body attacks the cells that became waste products considered as the enemy, causing small inflammation.
This small inflammation is the cause of aging.
The small inflammation continues to increase all over the body with age.
It has turned out that there is a substance that slows aging. Administration of the substance prevents the cells that became waste from being attacked by the immune cells and inflammation is far less likely to happen.
The mice in Fig. 1 are the same age (80 years old if human). The left mouse, which looks young, was administered the substance and the right mouse, which looks old, was not administered the substance.
The substance that slows down aging is polyamine.
Polyamine exists in all the creatures and we can’t live without it. The amount of polyamine decreases with age, while the amount of inflammation increases with age in inverse proportion to the amount of polyamine.
Polyamine was known as the substance that increased the cell and was necessary when we grew up. It has recently turned out that polyamine slows down aging.
The food that is rich in polyamine is soy products and mushrooms.
It requires a few months to more than a year to show the effect by eating soy products and mushrooms, so it is important to eat them every day.
A 9 year old girl was experiencing headache at night. She had to wake up with headache during the middle of the night. She often had the headache when she had some exercise at school.
She was having another health issue, so I was giving acupuncture treatment mainly for that health issue and giving her home therapy by marking on some acupuncture points where to put a ball of aluminum foil and a penny, which she could do when she had the headache.
The home work helped when she had headache, but the headache didn’t go away.
Since I had been noticing her right foot was open to the outside and left foot was pointing to the ceiling when she lay on her back, I tried to adjust her pelvis to make the openings of her feet even after the pediatric acupuncture treatment.
When she came back for the next session, she reported that she didn’t experience any headaches and since then, she hasn’t complained about headache.
This Blog is for a memo of my clinical realizations, information about health I have learned recently and update information.
